The players of Rajasthan Royals were in Jaipur for the pre-preparation camp of the Indian Premier League 2012 (IPL), and before leaving for Mumbai, we spotted the cricketers taking some downtime at a city lounge. After a day long practice session, the Royals were in a relaxed mood and chose to chill with co-cricketers and friends.
Calm before the storm: We spotted Rahul Dravid in a completely different avatar – wearing jeans and T-shirt with a sweater tied around his neck.
Looking calm and composed, his look reminded of Shah Rukh Khan in “Mohabbatein”. While Dravid was seen enjoying the company of fellow cricketers, one could have never guessed what was going on in his mind. Three days after we saw him partying in Jaipur, the ‘Wall’, as Dravid is fondly called, announced his retirement from international cricket.
New entry: Sreesanth, a new entrant to the Rajasthan Royals team, was busy munching and talking with friends and clicking pictures from his mobile. Players like Siddharth Trivedi and Shaun Tait were moving around and savouring the ambience. When we asked fast-bowler, Shaun, about the team’s performance, he said, “We are looking forward to the fifth edition of the IPL and our motto is to relax and enjoy ourselves. And with Rahul as the captain, everything is calm.”
